About Us
The Society of Tourist Guides (Singapore) - STGS was established on 15 October 2003 during the SARS pandemic to serve as the voice for tourist guides in times of crisis. Since then, we have worked closely with the Singapore Tourism Board and industry partners to uphold the professionalism of tourist guides and promote Singapore’s rich heritage. With over 600 active members and counting, STGS provides training, familiarisation tours, and professional development opportunities to ensure our guides excel as tourism ambassadors. Additionally, our wholly owned travel agency, STGS Tour Pte Ltd, offers guided tours tailored for schools, corporate events, and tourists. Through advocacy and strategic partnerships, we continue to support and elevate the guiding profession in Singapore.
