Refund Policy
Except in the case of compassionate reasons, there will be no refund of course fees 7 calendar days prior to the course start date.
Trainees who fail to show up for the course or training without a valid reason (last-minute jobs are not considered a valid reason) cannot request for a change of dates or course, and the course fee paid shall be forfeited for no-show.
Privacy Policy
We are committed to protecting your privacy. We do not sell, rent, share, or disclose your personal data to third parties.
Your data is collected and used strictly by us to process your course or training registration, Statement of Attendance, and certification.
Additionally, we may use your information to send you marketing and updates about upcoming courses and training sessions; you may opt out of these marketing communications at any time.
By registering for a LEARN, you consent to the use of your likeness in our marketing materials. Should you wish to opt out, please notify STGS staff via training@societyoftouristguides.org.sg.
Cancellation Policy
STGS reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or amend the date and time of the course delivery for any reason. This includes a course not receiving sufficient paid registrations - all courses require a minimum of 10 confirmed participants to proceed.

Professional Development Courses (PDCs): Funded by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG)
Overview
Singaporeans (not applicable to Permanent Residents) may use SkillsFuture Credits (SFC) (basic tier only) to offset the course fee of an SSG-funded course, after the SSG course fee subsidy has been applied.
The SGD 10 course registration fee paid by non-members of STGS is not eligible for SSG-support; nor can it be claimed via SFC.
SFC claim submission must be done at least 1 working day prior to the class. It cannot be submitted after the class has already started.
Should you wish to use your SFC to offset your course fee, please inform us via finance@societyoftouristguides.org.sg.
Key Requirements and Caveats
Trainee must not have attended the same course before, even in a different language.
Trainee must achieve at least 75% of the training hours.
Trainee must pass the assessment.
Trainee must accurately provide all required information.
If requested, trainee must provide a copy of their ID to STGS for verification.
Trainee must download the SingPass mobile app, as all trainees are required to use the app to take SSG digital attendance during class.
In the event of a SingPass login error, trainee must take a screengrab and email it to finance@societyoftouristguides.org.sg, such that we may use it as evidence to submit an appeal to SSG.
Barring platform outage, STGS shall update STB TRUST within 5 working days from the day the class completes.
The Society of Tourist Guides (Singapore) (STGS) and our trainers reserve the right to request any trainee to leave any class for non-compliance.
STGS reserves the right to bill any trainee the full course fee in the event of any false declarations made by the trainee, or non-cooperative/non-compliant behaviour by the trainee, leading to STGS being unable to claim the remaining fee from SSG.

By registering for a PDC, you consent to the use of your likeness in our marketing materials. Should you wish to opt out, please notify STGS staff via training@societyoftouristguides.org.sg.

Reassessment Policy
Successful completion of a Professional Development Course (PDC) is contingent upon achieving a grade of "Competent" in the final assessment.
Trainees who receive a "Not Yet Competent" grade are eligible for up to two complimentary reassessment attempts.
These requests must be submitted and the reassessments completed within 14 calendar days of the course conclusion.
Appeals Policy
To file an appeal for your assessment results, please email training@societyoftouristguides.org.sg. Do ensure you provide the following information:
Your full name as in your NRIC;
Your Tourist Guide badge number;
The title of the course you attended;
The date of the course you attended;
The name of the trainer that conducted the course;
The grade you received; and
A short write-up (no more than 150 words) of why you feel the assessment score should be revised.
All appeals must be filed within 7 calendar days of your final complimentary reassessment.
Each appeal submitted shall incur an administrative fee of SGD 20, to be paid to STGS via PayNow. This fee is non-refundable regardless of the outcome of the appeal.
The appeals process will take approximately one month from the date your email is sent, or the first working day following the date your email is sent.
All appeals shall be formally documented by the Training Executive, and subsequently reviewed by the Training Committee.
The decision of the Training Committee on all appeals shall be final and binding.
