Course Overview
Singapore is known for its multitude of authentic and delectable Asian food options (including local dishes) that offer a wide variety of flavours. Can Asian/local food pair well with wines? Understanding the flavor interactions of the structural components of wine and food is crucial to finding the appropriate wine pairing for a dish, promoting a pleasurable dining experience, and avoiding unpleasant taste combinations. With this knowledge, TGs can make appropriate wine and Asian/local food pairing recommendations to tourists who enjoy wine with food.

Differentiate wines based on varieties, types, and style.
Recommend the appropriate wine glasses for each type of wine.
Demonstrate the 7 steps of wine tasting.
Evaluate the structural components of wine based on the wine tasting method.
Interpret wine labels.
Advise on wine serving temperature.
Recommend wines to pair with Asian food based on flavor interactions of wine and food.
