On 7 Jan 2026, STGS in collaboration with the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) organised a briefing to explain the new LEARN + DO programme that starts in March 2026, in order for tour guides to renew their license. Some of questions we covered during the briefing were as follows : Why are these new regulations being implemented? What is a LEARN and what is a DO? What is the difference between a LEARN, DO and a PDC (Professional Guide Certificate)? Is a PDC still valid? Who provides LEARN courses and DO activities? How do you participate? How do tour guides choose, register, and participate in LEARN and DO? How many LEARN and DO activities are required for a tour guide license with different validity periods to be renewed? What are the consequences of not meeting the required number of LEARN + DO?
